The Toy Retailers Association expect that the "dream toys" for this Christmas will all be less that £50 each, which is likely to be music to the ears of Mums and Dads.

According to toy experts, past favourites are going to be back. There will be plenty of people out there who loved playing with Sylvanian Families as a youngster. Well, these miniature rabbits and bears in cute dresses are back.

Little girls are expected to ask for the Sylvanian Families Caravan, priced at £44.99. Boys, meanwhile, will be after the Transformers Movie 2 Voyagers Figures (£22.99) and the Lego Minotaurus (£17.99).

Princess Peppa's Palace, priced at £39.99, will also be a favourite, while the Battle Strikers starter set (£9.99) also made the top 12 Christmas toys.

As for older children, you'll most likely be spending your online bingo winnings on gadgets, according to the experts.

Nikki Moore, the gadget girl for BBC2 programme Something for the Weekend and founder of girlgeekchic.com, said: "Wireless technology is going to get a lot bigger – like the wireless iPhone charger - it's a really good stocking filler."

Gifts for the whole family will also be popular and you may find yourself spending your online bingo cash on a blu-ray player.
