Tips For Bingo Roomies On Buying The Right Bra

Tell-tale signs bingo roomies should look out for that show a bra doesn't fit

Buying a good-fitting bra is one of those frustrating things that bingo roomies have to do and it can be difficult at times.

You certainly don't want to be spending your hard-earned online bingo cash prizes on bras that are unsuitable and could even be doing damage.

Among the problems that ill-fitting bras can lead to are spinal damage, bad posture and even headaches.

But do not worry, as help is at hand so that you can make the right choices when it comes to bras.

David Morris, principal lecturer in contour design at De Montfort University, said that bra fitting will always be a compromise to an extent since every woman has a unique body shape.

"An experienced bra fitter should be able to offer a reasonable level of comfort and support, together with a fashionable breast shape," he explained.

Gillian Proctor, programme leader for contour fashion at De Montfort University, said that there are many ways of telling that you are wearing the wrong bra size.

She said you should be concerned "if your bra strap rides up across the middle of your back up to your shoulders, if your straps slip constantly [and] if the cups themselves gape or pucker".

"The other one is that you shouldn’t be able to put a finger between your skin and the cradle which is the bit in the middle, you should have that firm against your rib cage," Ms Proctor added.

She also reminded bingo roomies to have a bra that is suited to what they are doing - so a sports bra should be used when exercising.

"You wouldn't go to the gym in a pair of stilettos," she said, highlighting that the same applied to bras.

Bingo roomies may have to be prepared to sort themselves out when it comes to finding the right bra, however, as recent undercover research by Which? found that fewer than one in three fitting services were satisfactory.
