888 Ladies bingo players want Stacey to win the X Factor

Members of the online bingo site 888 Ladies Bingo have revealed their winner of choice for this year's X Factor and - perhaps unsurprisingly - it's everyone's favourite Essex girl, Stacey Solomon.

In a poll conducted by the website, Dagenham lass Stacey collected 38 per cent of the vote, with Olly Murs chasing after her in close second having garnered a respectable 28 per cent.

And despite the fact that Jedward fever is currently sweeping the nation, the 888 Ladies crew appear to be somewhat discerning in their musical tastes, with a teensy one per cent giving the Irish pair a bingo.

Those who neglected to vote in their favour may have been cheering at their TV screens on Saturday night after the hapless duo was unceremoniously given the boot.

To be fair, their sing-off was against bookie favourite Olly Murs, so it's no huge surprise that they've bitten the proverbial dust.

According to an 888 Ladies spokesperson, it's Stacey's attitude that has captured bingo players' hearts.

"She's the best thing to happen to Essex since Faces nightclub announced a happy hour extension," it was said.

888 Ladies has had X Factor on the brain recently. They just finished a competition where lucky bingo players could win some tickets to the live shows.
