One lucky online bingo player has won a VIP trip to Las Vegas, it has been revealed.

The man, who plays under the pseudonym hazelf, will head to the US gambling capital for a six-day holiday courtesy of Mecca Bingo.

He is to stay in the Caesars Palace in the heart of the action and will have the chance to explore the sights and sounds of the Californian tourist attraction.

Commenting on his success, the bingo fan said: "I was so surprised when I got the call to tell me I'd won. I have never been to Las Vegas before and it's the first time that I have ever won anything like a holiday, it never happens!"

He added that the news could not have come at a better time as his work had been very busy and stressful recently.

In addition, hazelf revealed he has been in the process of moving house.

The bingo winner went on to say he is "really looking forward" to his trip.

Hazelf is not the only person to have enjoyed some luck recently, with fellow online bingo player Tracey S scooping over £20,000 in prize money this month.
