A new bingo hall is to open
A new bingo hall set to open this weekend in the US will combine the traditional with the new, it has been claimed.
According to reports in the Opelousas Daily World, Bingo Depot in Port Barre will provide fans of the game with the usual "bingo call" games as well as new bingo machines.
During an opening ceremony at the venue scheduled to take place this weekend, there will be cash and prize giveaways every ten minutes, giving attendees the chance to test their luck.
Among the goodies on offer will be a two-night trip to New Orleans including hotel accommodation and a voucher for dinner at a fine dining restaurant, explained Rudy Perciful Jr from XL Bingo, which operates the hall.
Meanwhile, commenting on the presence of bingo machines in the venue, general manager of XL Bingo Richard Tate said they "provide an exciting way for players to enjoy the game, which is much faster than traditional call bingo".
He added that the Bingo Depot does will not permit the consumption of alcohol on the premises and it is to be open 24 hours a day.
Recently, LoughboroughEcho.net reported that a hall run by Beacon Bingo is to have a new £60,000 room constructed featuring a range of bingo machines.
