Ilminster To Host Bingo Fundraiser

A bingo fundraising night is being held in Ilminster.
People are being encouraged to play bingo in Ilminster around the Easter period as part of a fundraising exercise.
The Gemini Carnival Club is inviting families to get involved in an Easter bingo fundraiser on March 26th, thisiswestcountry.co.uk reports.
A number of prizes will be available, as winners will get a choice including, Easter eggs, food hampers and bottles of wine, with all proceeds going to the group.
Events kick off at 18:30 GMT at the Hambridge and Westport Village Hall and everyone is being advised to have their eyes down and be prepared to play from 19:30 GMT.
The news provider noted that refreshments will be available for anyone who attends, so individuals should get their bingo daubers at the ready.
And the benefits of bingo games have also been revealed with the news that it can help children improve their numeracy.
Pupils from St George's First School visited Beoley Road Sheltered Accommodation to play bingo with residents, the Redditch Advertiser reports.
Outside of trying to win a few accolades, it also provided an opportunity to celebrate the pupil's number recognition development.
