Hair Removal Tips For Bingo Beauties

An expert explains what products women should be spending their online bingo winnings on

Most of us want to have gorgeous legs for showing off the little black dress to best effect at Christmas and if you spend your online bingo winnings on the right products, you can knock 'em dead at the office party.

There are a few stages involved in hair removal, according to Nair skin therapist Louise Thomas-Minns.

If you decide to wax your legs, this should be done at least 48 hours before your big night out, she said.

"It can take up to 24 hours for any redness and irritation to subside and you will need to leave all perfumed products off for this period of time," she explained.

For those busy bingo beauties out there, Ms Thomas-Minns recommended using a depilatory cream, such as Nair Ultra Hair Removal Cream as this can be used just a few hours before going out.

She advised ladies to exfoliate before hair removal and to continue to do this on a weekly basis to prevent in-growing hairs and to maintain healthy, smooth skin.

"You need to moisturise after every bath or shower," she added. "It is vital to replenish lost moisture from the skin as well as keeping the hair soft and supple, as brittle hair cannot be removed as easily."

"Try slathering on your body lotion whilst your skin is still slightly damp to encourage the skin’s natural ability to hold moisture and keep skin hydrated in for longer," Ms Thomas-Minns recommended.

We all love using fake tan, as an ASDA spokesperson recently confirmed, with sales of the product up by 28 per cent this year at the supermarket.

However, ladies should not use fake tan immediately after hair removal, whether the have shaved, used depilatory cream, or waxed, Ms Thomas-Minns warned.

"You will have opened the skins follicles and therefore the tan will absorb into the skin blocking the follicles and causing possible irritation, as well as a very strange 'Leopard skin' effect," she said
