Bingo for cash in Barrow and help Brake to campaign on road safety
A family is planning to hold a special session of bingo for cash donations to benefit the road safety charity Brake, it has been revealed.
Ean and Angela Barratt are holding the event in honour of two brothers, Ben and Arron Peak, who were killed in a car crash, reports the North West Evening Mail.
May 22nd marks the date of the charity bingo event, which is being held at The Canteen on Michaelson Road in Barrow.
And Ms Barratt tells the publication of her hopes to hold the bingo for cash donations of as much as possible to benefit the charity.
"The support we have received so far has been fantastic, but we really want to try and raise as much as possible," she says.
"We are doing advance tickets so that we get a good idea of what numbers are coming."
Advance tickets are priced at £1 for those keen to join in the bingo fun while still supporting a worthy cause.
Online bingo players at 888ladies can support a number of different charities, such as the Shane Warne Foundation, which helps to raise money for disadvantaged children.
Charity bingo at 888ladies also benefited MacMillan Cancer Support in 2007, helping to support people whose lives had been touched by cancer.
