Coats are always a really important part of a winter wardrobe but it can be overwhelming trying to choose a stylish item that will last you several years so that you can get your money's worth from your bingo prizes.

However, help is at hand in the form of Luke Raymond, style writer at fashion156.com, who said that the focus is on individualism at the moment, recommending that you choose a coat that suits you.

The likes of Emma Watson have carried off this style with aplomb of late, with the Harry Potter actress looking stylish but understated when she modelled Burberry's pieces.

When it comes to choosing a particular cut, Luke suggested going for a trench coat as it is versatile and can work both for the office and as a fashionable item for going out.

"Perfect over trouser suits, skirts and dresses, the trench is the go-to option for daily and even weekend wear," he said.

Grey and sand-coloured coats are particularly fashionable at the moment Luke added, saying that they can "retain a classic silhouette whilst giving a nod to current trends".

When it comes to casualwear, Luke suggested you splash your online bingo cash on a leather jacket, as the "rebellious" look is big this season.

"A leather jacket - be it moto or bomber - thrown nonchalantly over evening wear and teamed with towering heels gives just the requisite amount of edge," he explained.
