All you bingo roomies out there who keep a close eye on the latest fashions will no doubt have noticed that nude colours are the big trend for 2010.

There have been plenty of buff, cream and peachy shades on the catwalks of New York, London, Paris and Milan, and these are transferring onto the high street.

Neutral colours are everywhere and Jenni Middleton, editor of Professional Beauty, said that these don't stop at clothing. Nail polishes are also following the latest fashions and women are paying close attention to trends when choosing what varnish to wear.

"Colour has been getting more and more important because colour in jewellery, accessories, shoes and handbags has become more prominent and catwalk nails have had to reflect that too," she explained.

"I think that colour enables women to express their individual style, and with nail colour they can do that relatively cheaply," Ms Middleton said.

"Women like to use their nails as a jewel; it's a fashion statement, not just about looking groomed, but looking individual," she added.

The other great thing about doing your nails - which can be combined with a game of online bingo - or getting a manicure, is that it is a great way to feel instantly groomed, Mr Middleton explained.

"Maybe it's the hand massage, the pampering hand lotion, or the application of a bright cheer-me-up polish, but I love a manicure," she confided.

It's a good pick-me-up that is cheaper than a pair of shoes, so you won't have to spend too much of your online bingo winnings to feel better about yourself.
