Bingo Players Reach Everest Base Camp

A group of bingo enthusiasts has reached the base camp of Mount Everest as part of their challenge to raise money for a good cause.
In total, 24 employees of Gala Bingo set off for the location earlier this month and made it nine days later, Get Surrey reports.
The publication was basing its article on comments left on the group's blog, which described the moment they reached their destination.
They said: "There were a few tears at this very emotional moment but through a combination of sheer will power and team spirit, every single member of our group got to stand at the base of the highest mountain on earth."
It is hoped that, by completing the climb and playing the world's highest ever game of bingo, the team will raise £100,000 for the hospice charity Sue Ryder Care.
The organisation provides care to people with cancer, brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Huntington's and Parkinson's disease, as well as those with dementia and stroke victims.
It requires a total of around £74 million each year in order to fund its work.
