Bingo Player Wins

Players at a bingo hall in Hounslow have won over a quarter of a million during one game of bingo.

A bingo hall was shaking to the rafters after 31 women won a collective £253,000 jackpot in one game.

Gala Bingo, Hounslow went ecstatic after one lucky lady hit the High 5 Jackpot, scooping her £128,000 and her fellow players - 30 women and one man - shared in an additional £125,000 windfall.

General manager Rick Espey noted that the winner - who has chosen to remain anonymous - has been coming for bingo fun for a number of years.

"The whole club was clapping and cheering and the atmosphere was electric .... everyone who was playing that afternoon won some money which made it especially nice."

Lynda McNamara, 64, was one of lucky ladies to benefit from her house call and she was sitting beside the winner when it happened.

Everyone was tremendously excited for her, she remarked, as the majority of the ladies have been coming to the venue since it opened.

It was recently revealed that a woman collected £50,000 from playing online bingo at 888ladies.com - the biggest amount won on the website.
