A bingo player has commented on her surprise win

A lucky bingo player from London recently won a car after taking part in an online game.

Anita Barzey, a student who lives in Bethnal Green, said she could not believe that she had secured the prize.

The 21-year-old revealed it was the first time she had even played bingo and she was looking to make some extra money over the summer.

After spending £10 and winning £50, she thought she would quit while she was ahead, Ms Barzey stated.

She added: "Then, a few days later I got a call to say I had won a car - I couldn't believe it! All my mates are playing bingo now as they want one too."

However, the student will have to wait before hitting the road in her prize, as she is now off to Ghana for a nine-week teaching placement as part of a gap year, the East London Advertiser reports.

Research published recently by Gala TV suggested that Taureans are the luckiest star sign when it comes to winning bingo prizes, while Virgos were found to be the least likely to bag money and other bonuses.
