Bingo Night Is A Great Way To Cater For All Hen Partygoers

More brides are choosing to party in the UK, with bingo a great way to kick off the celebrations

Brides-to-be looking for a cheaper way to celebrate their hen party may want to start off the night with a few games of online bingo with the girls before heading out on the town for their last night of singledom.

This sort of shindig is popular at the moment, as hens are choosing to stay in the UK to party rather than going abroad on a lavish and expensive holidays.

According to Hotels.com, two-thirds of hens are trying to save money by keeping their party to just one day.

Rachel Southwood, editorial director at Wedding Ideas magazine, says that cost-conscious ladies are going back to the types of celebrations seen in the past, before overseas hen parties became popular.

"They might do the old fashioned, traditional, mad hen night out in town and all of those dares," she suggests.

"Or [they might have] a theme, like a fancy dress theme. A really popular theme at the moment is eighties."

The other great thing about staying at home is that you can spend your hen night with more people and Rachel suggests that brides-to-be should not limit their invitations to just family and friends, as the more the merrier!

She insists: "The larger the better really in terms of a hen party. For a decent night out you need a good sized group and less than ten feels a bit odd."

But you need to be careful to make sure the night is going to suit everyone.

"If you are going to be doing a wild drinking thing avoid asking the older relatives because they don't tend to enjoy it so much," Rachel warns.

In that case, you might want to invite the older girls around to play some online bingo with a bottle of wine so that they can involved in at least part of the celebrations. Then you can head out for a carefree night on the town.
