The autumn and winter seasons can leave us feeling a little down, but spending your bingo winnings on some of the latest beauty trends is a great pick-me-up when the weather is gloomy.

For a start, just because the sun has disappeared, that doesn't mean you have to lose the healthy glow you've had all summer.

Laura McCreddie, assistant editor of Professional Beauty magazine, explains: "You can still have a tan in the winter, but it's just about the kind of tan, it's moving forward with the times."

She suggests spending online bingo cash on some of the latest products from tanning experts St Tropez and Fake Bake, who have brought out instant and wash-off formulas, making it even quicker and easier to get a beautiful bronzed look.

Don't overdo it though, as Laura reminds us that looking orange is out and the natural, healthy glow is in.

When it comes to makeup, there are lots of new and exciting colours and products out there for you to experiment with.

Caroline Donnelly, senior artist at MAC Cosmetics, reveals that floral shades are on trend at the moment, after they appeared in shows at London Fashion Week.

Blues, greens, pinks and violets are the colours you should be looking to spend your hard-earned online bingo prizes on, according to the expert.

"There is use of these colours in unexpected places so the typical cheek colours are not being used on the cheeks and the usual lip colours are not being used on the lips," she explains.

Also make sure you get yourself some false lashes, which are extremely popular at the moment, according to Laura. Not only are these a quick glamour fix, but they will also come in very handy around Christmas party time.
