A 100-year-old woman likes to play bingo up to four times a week with her daughter.

A woman who recently turned 100 can often be found at her local bingo hall, according to her family.

The Intelligencer reports that Loretta-Mar Bernhardt does not know the secret of her long life but does believe that her large extended family have helped keep her active and feeling young.

Mrs Bernhardt, who was born in 1909 in Marysville, has lived in the same street since she married in 1931 and has always been a firm favourite with local children as well as her five sons and five daughters.

Her oldest daughter has now moved in with her but her family always know where to find the pair if there is no one at home.

"They're at the east-end bingo hall at least four times a week," explained son-in-law Paul.

In June, a Virginia-based bingo fan celebrated her 103rd birthday and explained that her continued strong health was due to her good luck with the game.ADNFCR-2445-ID-19308172-ADNFCR
